One of the greatest gifts in this journey has been the opportunity to connect with others and in doing so, learn more about myself. Every conversation brings a new perspective, a new insight, and a reminder that none of us are navigating this life alone.
Over the next few months, I’ll be sitting down with fellow ostomates and professionals who can help us focus on what’s possible, how we move forward, overcome obstacles, and continue building meaningful lives.
I’m excited to share that my first Vodcast episode will feature Life and Career Coach Tony Smith. Tony and I go way back. We’re both veterans, and we stood together during the fight to end Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Like many of us, Tony has faced his own challenges and has since dedicated his life to helping others grow through theirs.
Our conversation will center around Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) and resilience two ideas that often go hand in hand. PTG is the positive change that can come from working through life’s most difficult moments. It doesn’t ignore the struggle; it acknowledges it and asks, “What can come from this?”
That mindset is at the heart of Stoma Dad.
This platform is about finding light, even in the darkest places. It’s about recognizing that while we may face obstacles, we also have the strength, the resources, and the community to move forward.
I’ll be building out these Vodcast conversations on the Stoma Dad YouTube channel, and I’d love for you to be part of it. Watch, listen, share your thoughts, and engage. This isn’t just my journey it’s ours.
Let’s build something meaningful together.
